Thanks for the tip. As I understand your post, you used CC Cloner to 
copy the install disk contents on another S900 HD and then installed OS 
X on the stubborn HD hooked up to the "good" S900? I saw all the posts 
on CC Cloner but didn't read them(-:
So far I'm on my 2nd X install today. The first hung at the end? of the 
first disc so reboot, zap pram and begin again humming the mantra 
quitters never win and winners never quit. Argh. Thanks.
