Sorry for the belated response, I was away from civilization. Keep in mind that you'll need Hi-Fi VHS recorder, regular ones do linear edge recording and have terrible quality. Dubbing is done this way in most cases. Stereo VHS recorder uses 2 helical scan heads (rotating heads like a DAT apparatus) and in order to avoid destruction of the video does FM modulation with a ~1,3 MHz frequency band shift, the heads are also positioned with +/- 30 degree azimuth shift for the similar purpose. This is all very simplified by me to the point being bordrline primitive and erroneous explanation, but the essence of the matter is that you will use rotational heads with very high effective velocity and tape width, and the quality is definitely very high enough for you be unable discern any difference between CD and VHS Hi-Fi audio except for few of us. __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
