The temperature reports from those utilities are not accurate. The only conclusions you can draw from them are about *changes* in temperatures, not about the actual absolute temperature. Some of them actually give readings below room temperature which is clearly impossible. So you really have no way of knowing if it's high 30's, mid 30's or even low 50's. However, if it says 38 today and you change something and it reads 42 tomorrow, then you probably really have experienced a 4 degree increase.
