With the flurry of zip drive posts I have a question - I have a zip
100 taken from an 8600 and it fits in my Pulsar floppy bay with the
floppy brackets fitted like a glove - system sees it fine and my scsi
utils identify it as a zip (removeable cartridge) scsi id 5.
I have no zip disks so can't try it (I've been cdrw for a very long
time) but does a zip disk fit through the floppy slot? The mouth of the
zip looks slightly larger than the floppy slot. If it doesn't I may get
rid as I use the floppy bay for formatting HD's with no fixings - they
fit very snugly as well.
The zip eject button also seems to fit snugly in the floppy eject
hole inside the front cover....were they designed to be a straight swap
for a floppy?

Pete in the UK who knows little about zips...
