As others have noted, most of them do. It is servo operated--closes a switch
that activates an electronic mechanism. Also, as noted, the front of the
drive is designed to stick through a rectangular cut out, but I suppose it's
possible to drill a hole to get access to the button. The real fun begins if
you need to use the emergency mechanical eject, the one most people keep a
spare straightened paper clip for. Unlike most removable disk drives, it's
located on the back of the unit, not the front.
