---- Ouch ! Yes, surgery on the opening would be a solution. (I didn't suggest it because I've had mine since new....) The thickness is not a problem - I just test inserted a zip at an angle and there is plenty of room, actually taller then the slot on the zip drive. Does an internal Zip drive have an eject button on the front ? This will be a factor when contemplating hacking away at the face of the S900. I don't recall seeing one on the front of Apple machines.
