Can you boot from a zip? If so:
duplicate your existing system folder (on 2GB Drive)
drag out all unnecessary stuff (to reduce the size to fit on the zip)
i.e: unneeded extensions/prefs/cache files etc...
KEEP YOUR CD DRIVER EXTENSION
drag small system folder copy to zip
powerdown and switch HDs
boot off of zip
insert OS CD of choice
and away you go :)
this has the advantage of saving all of your original data in its
pristine condition on your 2GB drive.
