I haven't experienced this problem on my Umax J700 running OS 9, but I
have experienced it on my Pismo G3 PB running OS 9.2.2. I finally got
tired of trashing the Apple Menu Option Prefs ever month & just
disabled it via Conflict Catcher 9. It bombs my system so it must be an
OS 9 thing.
