I suppose since there was no Umax connection to this problem, it is either a
simple extension/cp conflict or a software bug.

One thing that would make sense is that it may be something that resides in
the Apple Menu Items folder.  Right?

Of course TTP does reside there in the CP folder so this could be an issue
as Will believes.  Maybe there is a conflict between TTP and another
utility?  Say FWB or Norton?  I don't keep any of the background repair
options loaded such as Filesaver or FWB Device Startup.  I do have Mounter
in the Apple Menu Folder plus TTP and CD/DVD Speedtools is there too in the
CP.
