You might take a look at Gimp-Print. <http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/MacOSX.php3> There may be something workable/useful there.
It's the CUPS angle I was initially after. But the GIMP might be just as useful.
If you hook the LaserWriter up to one of your other machines, can you access it from the S900 in OS 10.2.6 via printer sharing? (probably a long shot...)
Since the only port that the Apple LaserWriter 300 has is the old Apple serial port, it will only connect to a Mac modem or printer port. I do have a Belkin serial to USB cable...I'll try that.
