Hi,
The fall wasn't that hard, it was on to my foot!
However as I said I've already tried the all of the discs, including the system disc in my J600. Although I did not boot off it, but as I could read it and I checked id with Norton DD I can't see that as a problem.
I could take the boot disc out of the j600 and try that in the S900 though if anyone thought that was worth it
Cheers
John

Here I go again with the external SCSI drive...
Find/borrow an external SCSI hard drive containing a System folder or CD
burner/reader with a bootable system disc and see if you can boot the machine.
Just curious if the internal drives were damaged in the fall. The read
mechanism would be the most vulnerable in a hard fall such as yours.
