Thanks for the feedback.

I also have a Tempo in the main s900.
Are you using only ATA drives ?

I have not had any problems ripping from audio CDs or recording from LPs, if
that is considered audio capture.
Maybe you are talking about live recording, etc.

As for video, no plans for that at all.

It is mainly for increasing/updating the storage capacity of the
7500/s900/PowrTower without messing with SCSI.
SCSI would be used only on the external connection for some older
peripherals.
I've had the easiest time with the Tempo and the 7200 rpm ATA drive - plug
and play, but always wondered about getting rid of the SCSI "0" drive.

I am wondering if assigning "address 0" to a ATA drive will help speed up
the bootup process.
My impression is even with Startup Disc designation, it takes a bit longer
to get to the non "0" drive.
Not sure if I'm clear on what it is I'm trying to find out...
