Well the drive in there right now is only an 80meg. I
know that replacing it would improve stats anyway, but
it's interesting that the drive could slow down with
the old processor. I thought that the only way that
was accomplished was with the interleave factor. The
Plus was too slow for hard drives and drives needed to
be set to a factor of 3 to work. I understood this to
mean that the platters made 3 revolutions instead of 1
to write data. I never had a CPU that needed an
interleave of 2, assuming there was one.

I guess I really haven't kept up with drives since
it's all kinda automatic now. Obviously there are lots
of bus speeds involved now, but most SCSI drives dumb
down to where they need to be to work ... only I don't
know how that happens. It'll be interesting to see how
the drive tests come out.
