Paul -

Thank-you for the note.

Not sure if I fully understand the bridge-chip issue even after having read numerous
threads on this.

I have the Sonnet Tempo ATA/66 card. (Acard) in slot 2.
In slot 1 is an UW card, which I do believe needs to be in the upper slot, but I don't
have any
technical proof to back this up.

I have used the Tempo in the lower slots with no problems but it ended up in slot two
because it is
available.

Slot 3 has the firewire (MachFire) and slot 4 the new SIIG USB-2.0 card I just
installed.

Maybe someone can clarify if the Tempo has the bridge chip.

If the 7000 makes it less of a headache upgrading to X, then I'm all for it.
That is the main reason I'm interested in it.
Currently I have the original non-apple 4mb Twin Turbo and 8mb Ultimate Rez cards.
The UltRez card is in a 7500 after several mysterious bootup hangups that was
happening randomly once
in a blue moon.

As things stand now, the current setup has been rock solid.

Treading cautiously...because I everything that I need to do is working fine under 9.1
and there is
nothing lacking.

Alan
