I don't know if this is much help, but I seem to recall doing the PCI card
dance with the Initio Miles 9100UW card, and it preferred the upper two
slots. Mine ended up in Slot 1 as well, so my guess is that it didn't work
properly in the bottom 4, or I would have probably put it there (not 100%
certain though). If you feel ambitious, you might want to give it a shot
anyway ... you never know.
