I've installed them. The SCSI interface is indeed 50 pin.

It's possible to put them in an external enclosure, but
using the external SCSI port of the S900 will only let you
burn up to 8X--I've tested this :( OTOH, they seem a lot
less sensitive to heat build up than comparable Yamaha
burners, so the Teac makes a more viable internal
replacement.
