I'm in the same situation as Bill Spencer. I have a C-500 that has served me very well, but it's past time to move on. I'm trying figure out the best
way to "retire" this. Currently its configuration is as such: 144 meg RAM,G3 400 (Sonnet upgrade card), ethernet card, USB card, and the original 2
gig IDE hard drive. I run OS 9.1 on it and I can load Intech CD Speedtools 6.0 on it. I can replace the hard drive with a 20 gig Maxtor 7200 rpm and
get a little more for it or I could go the other direction and revert this C-500 back to its "stock" condition 32 meg RAM, no ethernet, no USB, 200
603e processor along with the 2 gig hd, then part everything out. Ideas from the collective genius? If I piecemeal it, I could probably get $140 in parts alone, but I rather sell it as a whole (it's easier and I would like to see it remain intact, if possible. I know. . . not logical. . .). What do you think? Would it fetch $125 as is (w/2 gig HD) or $150 with the 20 gig HD or should I just piecemeal it? I welcome your input.
