That is correct.
If it's a firewire 800 case, then it has the appropriate bridge chip.
Mine is a 800/400/USB2.0/1.1 case with a 7200 rpm IDE (133) drive.
Browsing the OWC site will give you a better idea.
Also, I noticed MacGurus has been back up and running.
On order from them is a Ratoc SCSI to Firewire adapter, which may be some interest to folks with SCSI peripherals.
