if that's the problem, you might want to consider an exteral device that converts the video to DVD format. OWC is selliing a nice little item from ADS that does it in "real time," ie, one hour to convert one hour of video to DVD format, for $109. here's the link:

also, you folks who bring up the issue of bus speeds, i wonder if some of you ever stop to think about what you're saying. the bus on the tsunami board in our S900's is indeed 50MHz, as several people have mentioned. but that can't be bottleneck responsible for the times youn's are talking about. it's a 64-bit bus. 64 bits is 8 bytes. multiply 8 bytes times 50 MHz and you get 400MB/sec. that is the sustained data transfer rate that the bus can carry. obviously bus speed is not the reason for the slow times burning DVD's.
