It appears to me that SM's implementation of format=flowed is partially broken, like that of an earlier Tb 3's.

f=f behavior comes in several levels of implementation as seen in a number of news agents.

-1- post original content with trailing spaces
-2- honor the existing trailing spaces in quoted material
-3- stamp f=f properly in the header

'wishlist'
-4- rewrap option/function and replace/restore trailing spaces in the rewrap

SM is performing 1 and 3 but not 2, as did a Tb3. Tb 2 and the present v/s 6 and 7 perform 1-3; none of them perform 4. Tb's rewrap strips trailing spaces.

A number of news agents which do not claim to support f=f or stamp it in the header perform 1 but not 3, as is SM's problem.

I don't currently use SM, but I'm interested in it. Tb's current level of f=f support (including a rewrapping function even without restoration or preseration of trailing spaces) is essential.
