It appears that the/your SM 2.4 is *not* stripping the trailing spaces from the quoted material in the previous post which I bottom posted untrimmed.

Good for SM. That is the first v. I have seen which had f=f enabled which did not strip those quoted trailing spaces.

There are separate preferences to disable flowed message display (mailnews.display.disable_format_flowed_support) and sending flowed e-mails (mailnews.send_plaintext_flowed).


If your settings were set with send_plaintext_flowed false, then you wouldn't be posting with f=f, but you are, because your headers say so and because you are not stripping the trailing spaces.
