Will all sites now recognize this browser? For example Comcast.net which

Many should, there could still be the random strangler, I have not
tested Comcast.

Can I go from Mozilla 1.7 to Seamonkey 2.4 directly?

That is quite a big leap, I would recommend the following progression:

Download/Install, and do a First run of (in this order):
SeaMonkey 1.1.19 (http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/1.1.19)
SeaMonkey 2.0.14 (http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/2.0.14)
SeaMonkey 2.4 (http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/2.4)

You can go from 2.0.14 straight to 2.4 if you do a Help->Check for Updates.

But running each interim version once is recommended if you value your
current data. If you are happy with recreating [most] relevant
settings/setups you can of course go straight to 2.4.

Justin,
I think we need to define "support". Just as many ISPs didn't support Netscape when you called their support line, it stilled worked. Just don't call their support line.

Just like calling Microsoft for Word Perfect questions, it's not their product so they don't support it.

Jim
