No, I think in fact it makes sense. Consider: - Whoever is in the Beta channel is supposed to get (what eles?) betas. Not nightlies, not Auroras... and not releases either. - It's a matter of consistency; if you send release to the beta channel, by the same logic you should send betas to the aurora channel and aurora to the nightly channel. Which, frankly, would be a mess. - In most cases, the last beta is identical to the release version anyway. - And, finally, the first beta of the new version *should* follow very shortly on the heels of the release version.
