Sync mods wanted, either one or the other:-
(First preference)
1. A quick and easy way of suspending or temporarily disabling
SeaMonkey's Sync.
or
2. Disabling the automatic Syncing and make the sync ONLY work when I
click on the customised icon or option under Tools etc. ie. When I want
it to work and not automatically..!
At the moment I have to completely disable Sync and when I want to
reactivate it, I have to reenter the settings again.
Why, you ask? Because I find that SeaMonkey works slightly differently
compared to FireFox, in that under SeaMonkey the Sync jumps in when I
first load the browser.
When I do this and SeaMonkey is trying to redraw lots of Tabs that were
open in the previous session, the Tabs often fail to draw and I get Not
Found (blah blah). More often though the Sync itself fails after taking
quite a long time.
I use FireFox as well and this effect is not noticed with FireFox.
I should note that I am using the very latest SeaMonkey 2.7 beta and
FireFox 10.
This SeaMonkey Sync effect has been happening for me for the past year
over many versions and also occurs on a fresh profile.
Open to suggestions.
