I use "Delete Message". And I never see the headers, nor the message

I use the Log to track which ones are being deleted/ignored and tune my
filters if any of the keywords I use are deleting messages I actually
want to see.

I've been doing it this way for years (even now) and it works.

Same here, Rufus. I think he's using a Mac and I'm using a PC, but I'm
surprised that he says he doesn't have the option to "Delete Message" in
his filter list.

Regardless, he got the problem he was having solved by following Chris'
instructions. That's what matters. :)

*I'm* using a Mac...so he should be able to do the same thing we're both
doing.

But at least there's more than one way to skin the cat...

I guess I could blacklist gmail.com and yahoo.com problem is there might
be some legit posting.

The titles keep changing. Just have to get rid of it until they get bored.

Yes - that's how I maintain my filter keyword list (every dirty word or off-color short phrase I can think of...) - by looking over the Filter Log from time to time. Sometimes I do trap the odd message I'd like to have seen and have to go back and revise my filter. In general it seems to knock out the whole thread when it catches something on my list, but not always. I filter mostly on Subject, but also on a few odd Senders.

It would be really nice to be able to filter on header information - like Path or IP - to stop a particular bit of spam, but that would require a new feature.
