I just discovered this website:
http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2012/04/10-things-to-do-after-installing-
ubuntu-12-04
Whenever I click on any of the links, I get: Unknown Protocol: apt is
not a registered protocol
Nothing like that for me with Firefox 15.0.1 or SeaMonkey 2.11. Both,
along with Opera and IceCat, show the page as expected.
Further, I don't know if I would spend valuable time listening to a blog
whose author 1) has a problem with homophones ("reigns" instead of
"reins") and more importantly, 2) recommends Google Chrome instead of
Chromium.
"Google will, instead, be taking over the reigns, .." :-/
The rest of the advice is common stuff newbies would be interested in. My
wife uses Chromium and never has any problems with it.
What he states is actually factual... the only way you'll get a current
version of Flash on Linux is with Chrome. I've already seen a few
Flash-based games that don't work under Seamonkey, but work just fine in
Chrome. In fact; I was wondering why that should be, because they all
work fine under Seamonkey on Windows, until I read that page. Now I
understand.
