SeaMonkey stores mail in UNIX mbox format. Those are the files without an extension. MSF files are summary files that help SeaMonkey display header info. If you close SeaMonkey and delete the MSF files for your email folders, they will be recreated the next time you open SeaMonkey and all your mail will still be there.
