Hello,
I'm on OSX Snow Leopard with SM 2.18 beta (Build identifier:
20130502195045).
That beta has some problems with the email accounts (and also with the
Usenet ones).
Gabriel, as you can see from my sig block, I also am using SM 2.18b4
Hi,
you don't have any issue with that beta?
the previous one worked fine for me...
Cannot say I have any problems with the Beta, particularly. I do have
problems with SM, but they were from when I used the Release version and
are still in the Beta's!
1) when I start SM, all the accounts in the Mail main window are
automatically expanded;
When you close SM, are the accounts open or closed?? SM is set-up to
remember how things were on closing.
They are closed when I quit SM, and when I click on the Mail icon, the
main window shows all the accounts open again!
I don't know if it might help but, in the about:config screen, place the
word Mail in the filter box and see if there is anything there that
might cause them to display open rather than as they were left!
Also, check that your prefs.js file is not marked as "Read Only". (Do
Mac's do this?!?!)

Is there a new and better SM release I can download?
I know there are some files inside the SM folder one can delete to
rebuild the index, but I don't remember which ones :)
Gabriel, the index files for the e-mail folders are the ones with the
".msf" suffix, i.e. inbox.msf is the index file for your inbox. Your
received emails are store in the inbox (no suffix), so the inbox.msf
file can be deleted (when SeaMonkey is totally closed) and will be
re-created when the inbox is next selected.
All right, thank you, I'll try this now!
But I also see folders with ".sbd" suffix do you know what is it for?
Gabriel
Do you have folders as sub-folders of your inbox?? This is what usually
get the .sbd suffix. e.g. If I had a sub-folder in in inbox (perhaps
were I store family e-mails) they would appear as a .sbd file (sbd for
SuBDirectory)
