Gabriel, the index files for the e-mail folders are the ones with the
".msf" suffix, i.e. inbox.msf is the index file for your inbox. Your
received emails are store in the inbox (no suffix), so the inbox.msf
file can be deleted (when SeaMonkey is totally closed) and will be
re-created when the inbox is next selected.
Also, you can right-click (or, in a Mac with single-button mouse,
Ctrl+click, I suppose) on a folder, select "Properties" and click on the
button labelled "Repair folder." It does essentially the same as
deleting the .msf file, but it does so from the GUI itself and does not
require you to close and reopen Seamonkey.
Hi, I did that yesterday but it didn't work.
Now I manually deleted all the .msf files (and a few accounts I don't
need anymore), and it appears to run better.
Still on one account I don't automatically see the folders size, until I
select them.
Do you know if it's a known bug or a "feature" that the deleted accounts
are still present in the Profile folder? I mean, when you delete an
account from SM, it is not trashed!
Gabriel
