Presumably the .exe is the installer, I've not tried it. The .zip and .7z should be the same thing - just zipped up differently. (you can get 7-zip at http://www.7-zip.org/) But let's keep it simple - d/l and run vlc-2.1.1-win64.exe & let us know how it works for you.
