Issue #1
I always keep several windows open, and have configured
"restore previous session on startup".
After the upgrade, it didn't restore my session,
and I didn't know which file to restore in my profile.
Issue #2
prefs.js lost all my mail/news config (I have about 7)
The new prefs.js was much shorter than the old one.
This was on Linux/amd64
Re: Issue 2
Have a look at Tools->Switch Profiles to see if you've now got more
profiles than you thought you had. If so, check the others out to see if
they are your old profile.
I'll take a closer look, but I'm pretty sure this was my profile,
only with the mail/news part borked. (I had my bookmarks.)
Else, do a Windows Find Files and Folders for "prefs.js" to see if it
can locate your old one.
Something like find / -name prefs.js ? :-p
Regards.
Hmm! Maybe!!
Opps!! I had just about completed my reply to you, thinking you had
stated that you were using MS Windows then I noted your "This was on
Linux/amd64" line!. I do use Linux (Mandriva and Mageia) but my
knowledge of it's commandline is not great. Sorry!
I'm sure, somewhere, you typed that you were on Windows!! :-(
