As for posting to mailing lists, don't write to individuals. Save
the ML address and write to that: DFSee
<[email protected]> (give it a nickname if you like --
"dfsee" for example, so SM will fill in the rest). If you don't
feed the CA list bad addresses, it won't learn them
I don't use any address book for any mailing list. I'm either
replying to a post, or creating a new one by right clicking the from
or sender address while in a list folder on a post from that list.
The only time I need to type a mailing list address is possibly the
first time to a new list, but usually I use the mailto link in the
welcome message for those.
OK, then I guess I didn't understand the problem.
If you reply to a mailing list post, why do you need to change the
address? Doesn't it go where you want it to?
In my experience, once SM autocompletes an address, I can edit it
without difficulty and it leaves my edits alone. But why bother? What
difference will it make in this scenario?
