SM honors the choice of the user taken in View->Message Body As for
displaying a message in the message pane. I will never see HTML as long
as my choice was Plain Text,

And that is good so. :)

Here an example from a current mail.

--------------
[...]
MIME-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: multipart/alternative;
 boundary="_=_swift_v4_15134177205a34ebf8c3ea4_=_"
[...]
--_=_swift_v4_15134177205a34ebf8c3ea4_=_
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8
Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

[plain text]

--_=_swift_v4_15134177205a34ebf8c3ea4_=_
Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8
Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

[HTML]

--_=_swift_v4_15134177205a34ebf8c3ea4_=_--
---------------

Because my standard choice is Plain Text i'm seeing the part with
text/plain. Which is, in this example, very different from the text/html
part.
