You're not answering my question.
Hm. I thought I had. On the other hand, I have still to consult dict.cc
sometimes to be able to write in English. Oh well.
I know how to make a choice for each and every individual message.
That's a bother.
You mentioned a "standard choice" as if you could set a global default.
I want to know how to do that.
View->Message Nody As *is* a global option. It is applied to every mail
or posting for displaying the content in the message pane.
If that is not true for you, you should check in a fresh profile.
OK, I played around with this a bit and figured it out.
If I make the selection for an individual message, it applies only to
that message.
If I select the account name and make the selection, it applies to all
messages in that account.
I can select a hundred individual messages and set them all to "plain
text," and SM doesn't take the hint -- the rest of the messages are
unaffected. Only if I make the selection for the account name does that
become the default for the account.
