version of Linux I use, but as I'm posting today using Win7 that
might not be appropriate. And in a Win7 NG having a Linux sigfile
might not be appreciated ... and, in a Star Trek NG, they are
probably not the slightest bit interested in what OS I'm using. Etc.,

Probably not, without using some extension. A check of
addons.mozilla.org/en-us/seamonkey turns up nothing of interest for a
search of "signature".
In Thunderbird, the most prominent tool is Signature Switch
https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-us/thunderbird/addon/signature-switch/
. It's TB only, but it might be possible to to use the Seamonkey
conversion tool at http://addonconverter.fotokraina.com/, and get it
to run under Seamonkey.

I have used "Manage Identities" on one account adding a new
extra-identity. Clicking on "Edit" permit me to have another sig file.
When you need this sigfile, you choose this new account as the "From"
part of the mail.
