On this News Server, I use a sigfile showing my two OS versions. On my
UseNet News Server, my sigfile just ads the "Daniel" to each post.
Is it possible to have a sig file for some of the news groups on a
UseNet server, e.g., one of the contributors to a Linux group has
suggested (shown me how to) adding a sig file which shows which version
of Linux I use, but as I'm posting today using Win7 that might not be
appropriate. And in a Win7 NG having a Linux sigfile might not be
appreciated ... and, in a Star Trek NG, they are probably not the
slightest bit interested in what OS I'm using. Etc., etc.
If I was having problems getting to particular Website with my SM User
Agent string, I could give myself a particular User Agent string for
that particular Website.
So, in a similar manner, can I set up sig files based on which News
Group I'm posting to??
