It works in theory, but in practice, unless both host and remote have
really, really fast internet connections, using filemaker to connect over
the internet to a static IP address will be painfully slow.  I haven't done
it with ebase, but I've tried it with other filemaker databases using 400K
DSL lines on both ends, and it can take minutes to move between layouts.
