Marshall / Jon-
We've used Terminal Server to share out Ebase remotely. It is no different
than using ebase on your desktop. We installed Filemaker 4.1 (not server)
on Terminal Server and it works just like any other application. We
haven't gotten around to installing Filemaker 5 yet. Since we don't have
Filemaker Server, only one person is able to open Filemaker at a time.
After reading the filemaker FAQ, it looks like for multi-user access, you
would need a seperate machine to run FM Server and host the FM databases.
We would definately be interested in testing out this approach, we would
just need to get a copy of Filemaker Server to test out the multi-use part

Jon,
I have thought for a while that this would be one of the best ways to
provide remote access to ebase, but we have not had access to a terminal
server to test it.
Theoretically it is possible, and FileMaker provides support for this
approach (see http://www.filemaker.com/support/terminal_server_faq.html).
If you are interested in exploring this (especially if you have a terminal
server), let's talk. We will definitely be testing this approach with ASP
deployment of v2 on ChangeFrame, but that is a few months off.
