Even before the merge of the two lists, I had a filter set to put both of
them in the same folder. One of the great things about the eBase list is the
very rapid response, day, night, or weekend. In fact the response time we
saw to list questions was one of the major factors of our deciding to use
eBase. This response time can only be maintained by having experienced users
listen to the newbie chatter.
I don't read every entry. I look at the subject line. If it contains
something I know the answer to, I probably read it. If it contains something
that I am having a problem with, I do read it. If it contains something I
know nothing about, I probably don't read it. I find getting the individual
emails better suited to my purposes than the digest. With the digest it is
hard to look only at the interesting items. I know there are mail readers
that read digests as if they were individual emails, but I don't have one of
those. I save all the emails and frequently do a search on my old mail for
answers.
