There is a way to convert upper case to lower case in Excel (never
underestimate the powers of Excel!).

Here are the steps:

1) create a new column
2) put your cursor in the new column
3) Choose Insert --> Function
4) Choose Text --> Lower
5) Click on the text you want to change and hit OK
6) Drag the function along the whole column/worksheet, etc.

I encourage all Ebase admininstrators to get to know functions in Excel. I
spend all my time manipulating data in Excel before importing into
Ebase. You can separate First Name Last Name into two columns, merge two
columns into one, change those pesky dots into dashes for the phone
numbers, and a whole host of other database field issues.
