Rachel,
I'm no ebase pro by any means but computers I can hold my own. I
would just wait and see if it completes what ever computations it's
performing. If not then you only have one course of action and that's the
one you mentioned you didn't want to do. Do you have the ability to do any
thing on the system? Like can you do something else while ebase is doing
its thing? If not then I would be afraid that the system has locked up and
you only have one course of action. Sorry I can't be more help.

I ran a loose dupe check in ebase. I was going through the
duplicate
records when I came across a record that I wanted to delete.
It was
listed as the primary record for a household, however. I
attempted to
change the primary person to the other person, at which
point the dupe
check started to run again. My screen is blank except for
saying
"names_.102 " in the bar at the top, and sometimes I see the
scroll
arrows on the side. i see the blinking symbol that indicates
it's doing
something, but that is all that has been happening for 15
minutes. It
won't even let me quit out of it, and I'm afraid to
force-quit out. What
to do???
