Nope, that's the way it's delivered. Prefix is intended to hold titles such as Dr., Mr., Mrs, Ms., The Honorable, etc., It's called prefix to distinguish it from the title one holds in a position at an organization. Salutation is a nickname, the way you would prefer to be addressed in a letter. My record would hold David J.
