I understand, believe me, but at the time we imported our data from the our previous database, Record Type looked like the equivalent of the single-valued field we'd been using in the old database, so that's where we put that information in ebase. I understand now that this was stupid, if poorly documented as such, and I'm sure I'll fix it at some point in the future, probably before upgrading to 2.0. Bad Database Manager. Slap, slap. In any case, my question still stands. Let's assume for a minute that I did it the right way, and records that are used only for printing labels are marked in whatever way you, the reader of this question, feel to be the One Right and Correct Way to Record Such Things. How, in this ideal scenario, under ebase 1.03, would I keep data-entry folks from modifying these records? --Ben ------------------ Reminder to each recipient: To change your list account preferences, go to http://email.sparklist.com/scripts/lyris.pl?enter=support and enter the email address you used to subscribe to the ebase support list:: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------------------------------------------- ebase - Relationship Management for Nonprofits, http://www.ebase.org ---------------------------------------------------------------------
