If they can get more done in the time they put in you are ahead. If you are hand typing thankyou letters instead of getting ebase to generate them, it would easily be worth the cost of FileMaker. It is hard to put a value on the professional appearance of stuff you put out, but it is certainly worth something. You really can get FileMaker for free if you try and are patient, especially if you are at the low end of the total operating budget.
