All the files and folders in the ebase directory need to be 
transferred to the new machine. There are 20-something files, with 
filenames like names_.103 and such. As others have said, these files 
won't fit on a floppy - you probably grabbed only the single file 
ebase.103. That's only a control and navigation file and has no data. 
It's unlikely that even the names file alone will fit on a floppy. 
You'll need to use a larger-capacity removable disk like a zip disk, 
or temporarily hook both machines up to a local network to transfer 
the files.

version 2 is not ready for release, and in any case would complicate 
the transfer. Get the files onto the new machine, then think about 
the upgrade, if it makes sense for you, in a couple of months.
