You are not ready the archives of this list. That question is asked almost
weekly.

The answer is that files copied from CD always have the R/O bit set. You
must unset the R/O bit. To do this in Windows, My Computer navigate to where
your ebase files are; Edit-Select all; right click on one of them; select
properties (last entry in pull down); uncheck the the R/O property and ok
your way out.
