Dear Dave (or other tech-rockers),

I'm also in the situation of having to transfer ebase (v 1.02) and all data
therein from one computer to another. The computer I'm transferring from
has a CD writer, so I copied the ebase folder and all of its contents to a
CD-R (I also tried a CD-RW) and then copied the contents of the CD to the
hard drive of the new computer (which also has a CD writer). I'm able to
open ebase, but no matter which file I try to open, I get the message "this
file is read only and is not modifiable." What am I doing wrong here?

Thanks,
Paul Hardy
