Couldn't they go to the payments layout, hit find, tab to the "Post Date" field, enter the range in the form 1/2/2001...7/1/2001, put *X in the Cum Dues/Contrib field, and hit find?
They sure could, but Cum Dues/Contrib is not a standard field.
You might have a working solution in your copy of ebase. If this works
for you, it would be great if you could find the definition of that
field and post it to the list.
