I also believe that the uni of York is the right place for Ambisonia.com to be hosted. If York uni can take up the project then I'll hand over the whole shabang, including the domain name.
The only catch is that Python (and more specifically, Plone) expertise is required, and that may pose a challenge to Dave and his team. Does any one on this list have Python expertise? I'm hesitant to pass the maintenance/ownership of the site over to individuals because I fear that the site will ultimately just be subject to the same problems... that is, a lack of resources. I also believe that a university is more likely to handle the content responsibly and with respect to the original authors' chosen licenses.
