Oops. That was a typo. Thanks for pointing that out. Yes
ofcourse he needs an MFM card for an MFM drive.
I did also mention in that post that he could try
formatting it as RLL, not because it is really workable,
but because it is instructive. When I first started
playing with those drives, I thought I was really smart
getting an extra 10Megs out of one of those. Well .... it
_is_ obviously pushing it way too far because errors start
to show up ..... really badly. <g> But it sortof works.
Hehe. Anyway, that's how _I_ learn things (spending hours
proving myself wrong).
Oh, oh... I just remembered. Some of them had an "R"
appended to the product number and are designed and
certified for use with RLL, but that's another story.
